The course is focused on explaining the basic terms and principles of size exclusion chromatography (SEC) in combination with a MALS detector, the necessary conditions for SEC separation and measuring with this technique, the instrumentation options and the application for which this method is suitable (i.e. measured parameters - molecular weight, degree of polydispersity etc.).

It explains also equetions neccessary for understanding of sorption process and shows the difference between micro and mesoporose materials. Types of isotherms and hysteresis loops are expleined too.
